- Capacity: Depends on configuration, with a maximum raw capacity of 256 TB.
- Compatible Operating Systems: Supports either Microsoft® Windows® Server IoT 2019 for Storage Standard Edition or Microsoft® Windows® Storage Server 2016 Standard Edition operating system. Systems can be factory restored using recovery images available in a recovery media kit or downloaded from HPE’s Software Depot. Upgrades from Windows Storage Server 2016 to Windows Server IoT 2019 are possible with an upgrade kit. Client operating systems supported include Microsoft® Windows®, Mac OS, Linux®, and Unix.
- Protocol Supported: Supports various protocols, including SMB, NFS, iSCSI over Ethernet, FTP/S, and HTTP/S.
- Storage Expansion Options: All HPE StoreEasy models support external expansion through HPE MSA SAN Storage or D3X10, D6020, and D8000 Disk Enclosure product families. To support MSA SAN Storage, a Fibre Channel, SAS, or iSCSI connection must be added (note: high-availability clustering is not supported). For external Disk Enclosures, a Smart Array controller with external ports must be added.
- Replication Support: Utilizes Microsoft DFS-R for replication. Optional Carbonite Double-Take Availability is available.
- Snapshot Support: Integrates with Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) for snapshot capabilities.
- Form Factor (Fully Configured): Comes in a 2U rackmount form factor designed for LFF (Large Form Factor) drives.
- Drive Description: Does not include data drives as standard. Offers 12 x LFF (3.5″) hot-plug front drive bays as standard. An optional 4 x LFF hot-plug mid-chassis drive cage is available.
- Clustering Support: Not supported on HPE StoreEasy 1000 Storage appliances.
- Host Interface: Equipped with 4 x 1GbE standard network interfaces.
